Devotions for February 8, 2022 - Snow Bowling

Snow Bowling

Parks and Maggie LOVE the snow. Ezri . . . loves it for about 90 seconds. As a seven year old, Parks has rarely struggled with lack of entertainment. So when I looked outside and saw the two odds (first and third born) setting up bowling pins, I couldn't help but chuckle and start recording! Check out my personal Facebook page for the video of this :)

I do think my favorite part (other than the mere idea) is that Maggie was absolutely excited about hanging out behind the pins to catch the ball (as they QUICKLY were warned about not going anywhere near the road . . . even if the ball rolled there). Her excitement for the LEAST exciting job was beautiful. Parks had found a way to have her involved, participating, and feeling valued at what she was doing. Now, she did get a couple turns to roll as well, but he completely sold her that the job she was doing was super fun and super cool. And she loved it!

Being a part of something is important, but it is also vital for us to feel included, valued, and be a contributor. First Corinthians 12:14-20 says, "Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. Now if the foot should say, 'Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,' it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. A

nd if the ear should say, 'Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,' it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body."

BE the part of the body of believers God has called you to be. Encourage others to BE their part as well.
